An AI phone agent for a clinic: what Eva does, and where she does not
Updated 2026-10-17
A clinic phone line is a confidentiality boundary
Callers to a substance use disorder program often identify themselves as patients in the first sentence. A voice agent that books, messages, or transfers those calls is handling information a Part 2 program may not freely redisclose. The product question and the confidentiality question are the same question.
A useful agent can verify a caller, book an appointment, take a message, transfer the call, and follow a crisis path. It should not invent clinical advice, and it should not be described as answering patient calls for clinics that have not put a business associate agreement in place.
Where Eva is used
Eva is MASE's AI phone agent. For MASE and Serenity Rehabilitation Center she verifies callers, books appointments, takes messages, transfers calls, and handles crisis calls. The phone number published for that use is (248) 919-5856.
Eva is not offered to answer other clinics' patient calls. Business associate agreements for that use are not in place. MASE does not publish a call-volume statistic or a claim that Eva covers a national panel of clinics.
What this website will not do
The public site and https://www.mase.health/api/ask repeat published facts. They are not connected to Eva and they are not a medical record. Do not include a patient's name, medical record number, or other identifying detail in a form on this site.
Clinics that want to talk about phone coverage for their own program should start at https://www.mase.health/request-demo and expect the BAA limit above to be part of the conversation.
